About this tool: HEIC to JPG converter

HEIC/HEIF supported. Exports one still image; keep the original for Live Photos and metadata.

How to convert HEIC to JPG

  1. Choose up to five HEIC / HEIF images, each within 15 MiB and 40 megapixels.
  2. This page accepts HEIC images and exports JPG. Choose another converter below for a different input format.
  3. Process the image, compare the result dimensions and file size, then download a separate copy. Keep the original.

When to use this tool

Use a JPG copy when a form, recipient or app does not accept your iPhone HEIC photo. JPG and JPEG are names for the same format. The decoder loads only when needed, and the image is processed on your device.

Check before downloading

The result is an 8-bit still image. It does not retain Live Photo motion, every frame, source HDR appearance, EXIF or GPS. A JPG may be larger than its HEIC source. Check orientation, detail, dimensions and actual bytes before sharing.

A few things you might wonder.

Which files can I add?

This page accepts HEIC/HEIF images and exports JPG. Choose another converter below for a different input format.

Can I convert Live Photos or a HEIC with several images?

One still image is exported from each file. Motion, audio, bursts and additional images are not exported. Keep the original HEIC and any paired video.

Are EXIF, GPS and HDR preserved?

EXIF, GPS and other source metadata are not copied. Output is a standard 8-bit image; HDR and wide-gamut appearance can change. This is not an archival copy.

Will the converted image always be smaller?

No. Encoding can increase file size, especially for an already optimized source. Compare the actual byte sizes before downloading.
