About this tool: Compress image to 100KB

This tool measures encoded bytes, searches JPEG quality, and reduces pixel dimensions only when quality alone cannot meet the limit. It exports JPG; transparent areas become white. One target KB means 1,000 bytes.

How to compress an image to 100 KB

  1. Choose up to five JPG / PNG / WebP images, each within 15 MiB and 40 megapixels.
  2. 100 KB = 100,000 bytes. Automatic quality; dimensions may shrink. JPG output.
  3. Process the image, compare the result dimensions and file size, then download a separate copy. Keep the original.

When to use this tool

Use this preset for a maximum upload size of 100,000 bytes. It measures the encoded JPG, searches quality and can reduce dimensions when necessary. A JPG already within the cap is kept unchanged.

Check before downloading

The cap is a maximum, not an exact padded size. A result can still fail a form that requires a minimum size, a particular crop or certain dimensions. Transparency becomes white in newly encoded JPG output; verify all of the form’s rules.

A few things you might wonder.

Is the download really below the limit?

Successful output is checked against 100,000 bytes. If the browser cannot reach that limit, the tool reports an error instead of labeling an oversized file as successful.

What happens to transparent areas?

JPG has no alpha channel. Transparent areas become white. The output is a still image, without animation.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Image processing happens in your browser. This version does not upload or store your files.
