About this tool: Image compressor to 50 KB

Start here when a photo upload has a 50 KB maximum. Choose an image, leave 50 KB selected and process it. PixMinto checks the actual encoded bytes and can reduce pixel dimensions if quality adjustments do not fit. It accepts JPG, PNG and WebP and exports JPG.

How to compress an image to 50 KB

  1. Choose up to five JPG / PNG / WebP images, each within 15 MiB and 40 megapixels.
  2. 50 KB = 50,000 bytes. Automatic quality; dimensions may shrink. JPG output.
  3. Process the image, compare the result dimensions and file size, then download a separate copy. Keep the original.

When to use this tool

When a form permits 50 KB, using a 20 KB target would spend less of the allowed byte budget. Select the limit the form actually permits and inspect the result at its intended size. If the form specifies both a pixel range and a byte range, check both; this tool enforces the maximum byte limit only.

Check before downloading

The output is a JPG at or below 50,000 bytes. Check the exact byte count, pixel dimensions and legibility. Transparent areas become white. Original files remain on your device.

A few things you might wonder.

Does a 50 KB JPG keep all original detail?

No. JPEG compression can discard detail, and dimensions can decrease to fit the cap. Inspect edges, text and faces before using the copy.

Why does my download display less than 50 KB?

The tool enforces at most 50,000 bytes, rather than adding padding. File managers may also use a different KB convention or rounding.

Can I choose another target?

Yes. The controls include 20, 50, 100, 200 and 500 KB plus a custom whole-number limit. Changing settings clears the previous result.
