About this tool: Compress image to 200 KB
Use this page when a form asks for an image no larger than 200 KB. The tool measures the encoded JPEG and adjusts quality first. If that is not enough, it can reduce the dimensions while keeping the aspect ratio. It accepts JPG, PNG and WebP, and its output is JPG.
How to compress an image to 200 KB
- Choose up to five JPG / PNG / WebP images, each within 15 MiB and 40 megapixels.
- 200 KB = 200,000 bytes. Automatic quality; dimensions may shrink. JPG output.
- Process the image, compare the result dimensions and file size, then download a separate copy. Keep the original.
When to use this tool
Use this preset for a form that allows at most 200,000 bytes. It provides a larger budget than the 100 KB preset while still checking every successful JPG against the chosen cap.
Check before downloading
Read the form’s pixel and minimum-size rules too. The tool may reduce dimensions, and it does not enlarge a small file to exactly 200 KB. Compare the measured result and inspect the downloaded copy before submitting.

A few things you might wonder.
Will the file be exactly 200 KB?
The preset caps output at 200,000 bytes. It does not pad a small file or enforce a minimum size.
Will dimensions stay unchanged?
The tool tries JPEG quality settings first, then may reduce dimensions if needed. Read the reported dimensions before downloading.
Can I upload a PNG?
Yes. PNG and WebP are accepted, but the result is JPG with a white background behind transparent pixels.
